Kenmore Apartment Rentals
The Kenmore neighborhood of Boston is bordered by the Fenway neighborhood to the west, and these two areas are sometimes referred to jointly as the ‘Fenway/Kenmore’ area. If you want to sound like a local, then you just need to know that when people say ‘Kenmore’ they are typically referring to Kenmore Square and the rather small area immediately around the square. It gets a little tricky because Fenway Park, the oldest major league baseball field still in use, is technically in the ‘Kenmore’ area, not in the ‘Fenway’ area. So just remember, if you’re taking the MBTA Green Line to go see a Red Sox game, get off at Kenmore Station, NOT the Fenway stop, because the Kenmore stop is actually closer to the park.
A majority of the residential properties in the ‘Kenmore’ area have been purchased by Boston University as dormitories. Luckily, if you have your heart set on living near Kenmore Square, there are plenty of Fenway area apartments to choose from, and if you don’t explain the difference to your out-of-town visitors, they’ll never know! For the sake of keeping your apartment search as easy as possible, Warren Rentals simply categorizes any apartments in the Kenmore/ Fenway areas under the ‘Fenway’ neighborhood is our rental searches. Also near by is the beautifal Boston Back Bay.
