Warren Rentals Recommendations for Student Apartments

If you are a student looking for a new apartment for next year, or are a freshman who is new to Boston, check out the following Student Guide for some popular Boston universities and corresponding recommended neighborhoods to live in!


Berklee College Apartments

Berklee College is located right in the heart of Boston, just off the Green Line MBTA Stop, "Hynes Convention Center". The school's location is right off of Boston's lively Boylston Street, with tons of shopping, bars and restaurants. Many Berklee students live in the Fenway area, or commute from other stops on the Green Line.

Boston College Apartments
Most BC students elect to live on campus, but many seniors choose off-campus living for their final year. If you are looking for housing, consider Allston apartments or Brookline apartments


Boston University Apartments

Most BU students live in Allston MA apartments and Brighton. It’s very accessible to the MBTA’s Green Line, and a safe area to live in. You also may consider Brookline, as it is within walking distance of campus.


Emerson College Apartments
Emerson College is right on Boston Common, so sometimes off-campus housing can be tough to find. Many students tend to live in Fenway apartments or in the Back bay, and some chose to commute from farther locations located on the MBTA train or bus lines.


Harvard University Apartments
Depending on the location of your University, you have several options. Harvard's main campus is in central Cambridge. Harvard Business School are a short walk across the Charles River in Allston, and the medical, dental, and public health schools are all located in the Longwood area. The campus is easily accessible by MBTA as well.


Lesley University Apartments
Lesley has campuses located in Boston and Cambridge, so most student elect to live in Cambridge apartments. Davis Square in Somerville is also a popular commuting option, as it is right next to the MBTA Red Line.


MA College of Pharmacy Apartments
The MA College of Pharmacy's Boston campus is accessible via the MBTA bus lines and is closest to the Longwood train stop on the Green Line. The best apartments for MCPHS students are located in Brookline, Fenway, Longwood, and Mission Hill areas.

Fenway apartments are great options for MassArt students.
MassArt Apartments
MassArt is right next to the Museum of Fine Arts, and Northeastern University on Huntington Avenue. MassArt is accessible via the MBTA bus lines and is closest to the Longwood train stop on the Green Line. Warren Rentals recommends Fenway apartments, 3-beds in closeby Mission Hill, or renting out Brookline homes with some roommates.


MIT Apartments
MIT is near Kendall Square, which is in Cambridge. MIT students also look one stop away on the red line at Central Square, which has more residential apartments but has plenty of bars and restaurants available on Mass Ave.


New England Conservatory Apartments
The school is accessible via the Massachusetts Avenue stop on the MBTA Orange Line train and the Symphony stop on the Green Line. NE Conservatory students often seek a Fenway apartment. Allston apartments or Brighton rentals are also a good housing options for NEC students, and those neighborhoods often have more parking spaces and are a bit further from campus.


Northeastern University Apartments
Northeastern has its own MBTA stop on the Green Line, right next to the Museum of Fine Arts. NEU students often look for apartments in Fenway or Kenmore area, or right next door at Mission Hill. Students also venture a bit further to Back Bay, Brighton, or Allston.


Simmons College Apartments

The five-building academic campus is located in Back Bay, and is easily accessible via the MBTA Green Line ‘Longwood Medical Area’ stop on the ‘E’ Line. Fenway apartments are among the most popular for Simmons students, but Simmons students should also consider Longwood and Coolidge Corner.


Suffolk University Apartments

A Beacon Hill apartment or condo for rent may seem like the obvious choice for Suffolk students, but Beacon Hill is one of the most expensive locations to live in Boston! Students may want to consider renting in Back Bay, Chinatown, or even East Boston. Accessing the central campus location is easy via the Red, Green, Blue, or Orange Lines of the MBTA train system.

Tufts' main campus is in Medford, just 5 miles outside of Boston, with parts of the lower campus in Somerville. Davis Square or Porter Square, both accessible via the MBTA Red Line, are both popular choices for Tufts students in their apartment search.


The Biomedical Sciences, Dental Medicine, Friedman School of Nutrition, and Schools of Medicine are all in Boston’s Chinatown neighborhood, adjacent to Tufts Medical Center. Students can easily access these buildings via the MBTA Orange Line ‘Tufts Medical Center’ stop. Apartments around Sullivan Square, Chinatown, or Back Bay are convenient for Tufts School of Medicine students.


UMASS Apartments
The UMASS campus is easily accessible via the MBTA Red Line and the Commuter Rail at the JFK/ UMASS stop. There are also bus services and shuttles for students, and the proximity to I-93 makes driving to campus easy, too. Students can also live close to campus with affordable apartments in Dorchester, Roxbury or East Boston.


Wentworth Institute Apartments
Wentworth Institute of Technology is located in the Fenway neighborhood of Boston. Wentworth is on the MBTA Green Line, near the ‘Museum of Fine Arts’ station.     
A Fenway apartment is ideal for Wentworth students, which is right next to Lansdowne Street, Fenway Park, and other museums and cultural attractions. Other off-campus housing options include a Back Bay apartment, renting in the Longwood area, Brookline, or Coolidge Corner.
